The Challenge

Peg Leg Porker needed to turn restaurant brand loyalty into repeat merch and sauce sales online. The existing storefront failed to capture the brand's hand-crafted, Southern identity, presenting their products in a way that undersold the brand equity they'd built through years of award-winning BBQ and a devoted regional following. Gifting — their highest-AOV category — had no dedicated experience: no bundle builders, no gift messaging, and no gift-wrap option at checkout. The disconnect between the in-restaurant experience and the online store was creating a ceiling on e-commerce revenue that didn't reflect the brand's actual customer loyalty.

Our Solution

We launched a custom Shopify store with merch drops, shippable sauce bundles, and local pickup options. The theme was built around the brand's visual identity — dark, hand-crafted, and Southern — with lifestyle photography of the restaurant, pitmaster, and the competition circuit at the center of the homepage narrative. Gift bundle products were built with packaging options and direct-ship-to-recipient checkout flow for Q4 gifting. Shopify POS integration unified in-store and online inventory in a single system, and Klaviyo was configured with category-segmented flows for sauce buyers versus merch buyers.
